Calendula Cobbler

October begins today. The month begins with the sun in the sign of Libra, ending in the sign of Scorpio. The month which the Dutch proudly proclaim "wine month" because the first wines of the year ripen during this month, the Finnish call the "month of dirt", the Irish call "end-of-harvest time" and the Turkish the month of sowing. Most apples are always harvested at the end of this month, and though most birds fly south during this time from the first frost, the sparrows are never happier in this mild weather. Calendulas bloom with brilliance and tourmalines speckle the evening skies.

So much exciting history has blossomed during the month of October. Thomas Edison made his first successful demonstration of the electric light, the Soviet Union launched Sputnik, the Statue of Liberty was dedicated to America on my birthday, and the United Nations became formally established, all within this colorful autumn month.

My birthday is during this month, on October 28th! :) I have proudly declared myself a Scorpio many times before and am looking forward in continuing to see where life's laughter and wonder takes me, yay!

:) I am among the first of five Scorpio archetypes, known as a "sunny Scorpio". Intensity is the central image of a "sunny Scorpio", and we are known as the most optimistic, least-emotionally drunk of the five Scorpio archetypes (which may explain why I'm a very optimistic, upbeat Scorpio, yay!) (does happy Scorpio dance) Indeed it doesn't spare me from all the other emotions and qualities that make up a Scorpio, LOL, as I have a little of the scorpion, the serpent, the eagle, the phoenix and the butterfly in me everyday! (giggles)

One thing I've always found fascinating about my sign is how Virgo and Scorpio used to be one sign, and Libra was the sign that split the sign in two, which Libra is known as the sign of marriage. And you know what the sign of Scorpio is known as...the sign of sex! (giggles) Don't be afraid, what Scorpios really believe is that sex involves the possession of ones partner, a union of two people physically, passionately, emotionally in love. Scorpios feel this passion soooooo much that the individual and his/her mate often remained locked together for a night and day when mating, because the bond, the love, is sooooooo powerful, feels so spiritual. Scorpios love sex because the positive serpent energy gives humans a deeper union with their beloved, which Scorpios value over everything else. :)

I've yet to love, and I long to meet a very special girl, form a beautiful friendship with her that will blossom eternally, fall in love with her and have this beautiful spiritual bond I fantasize about just about every day. :)

Until that day comes, I just control my sexual energies into my life, to leap out of bed and rise up from the earth like an eagle to let my creativity and spirituality run wild, and use this creativity and spirituality for expression in life, for I follow the Scorpio creed that Scorpios must use their energy, or it will bottle up and explode. With the passion in all my mind, body and soul, I'm much more of a doer than a watcher and work everyday to obtain self-mastery of my will, yay! :)

Yay, hope y'all have had a wonderful happy Wine Month homecoming today! Calendula cobbler and topaz cooler for all!

Love,
